Seamstress Assistant Associate
Marathon Staffing is currently in need of a experience seamstress for an immediate opening.
As a Seamstress Assistant Alterations associate, you will help the customer look great and feel wonderful about her dress. Alterations play a key role in our business. You will be responsible for women's dress including evening wear.
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday
Hours: 10:00am-6:00pm
Salary: $14.00/hour
Job Duties
- Marking garments correctly; ability to follow makings done by others.
- Using all alterations equipment (pressers, sewing machines, etc.) appropriately and safely.
- Working rapidly and accurately.
- Following department safety rules.
- Knowing which garments can/cannot be altered and understanding different fabrics/styling.
- Presenting a pleasant and positive attitude to the customers
Skills
Summary:
- Experience in high-end women's apparel essential
- Capability to work with beading or other special fabrics
- Full knowledge of the complete alterations process is required by hand sewing and sewing machine
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
Minimum 3 years seamstress/tailoring experience in high-end dresses.
Pressing and spotting skills.
